Raft Trip & Train Ride

A Unique Colorado Trip Idea . . . the Raft-n-Rail®

 

Trip Synopsis

* Arrive at 9:15 a.m. for the 10:00 a.m. departure.
* Go on an 8-mile white water rafting trip on the Arkansas River.
* Eat lunch served at our private landing on the banks of the river.
* Enjoy a 12-mile train ride through the Royal Gorge.
* Meet our vehicles on the south side of the depot.
* Return to our office and your car at around 3:00 p.m.

 

The Route

The trip combines an eight mile raft trip through the Arkansas RIver's Bighorn Canyon, lunch on the river and a twelve mile train ride on the Royal Gorge Route Railroad in one continuous excursion. The family friendly trip will be a highlight of your summer vacation.

 

Guests are encouraged to bring a backpack or duffle bag with a change of dry clothes which will be waiting for you following the rafting portion of the trip. Morning departure guests will have one hour to enjoy lunch and change while afternoon guests will have thirty minutes before boarding the Royal Gorge Route Railroad.

 

The trip includes:

- Half day of rafting Bighorn Sheep Canyon

- 10 am departure includes a riverside lunch

- 2 pm departure includes a light snack

- 12 mile train ride through the Royal Gorge

- All transportation required for the trip

 

The morning trip checks in daily at 9:15 am for a 10 am departure returning at 3 pm and includes a riverside lunch. The afternoon trip checks in at 1:15 pm for a 2:00 pm departure returning at 6:00 pm and includes a light snack.
