Clear Creek is located West of Denver, Colorado on I-70. For serious paddlers only! Enjoy one of the most continuous sections of whitewater in Colorado, only 30 minutes from Denver. Our advanced trip takes you through the Lower Canyon of Clear Creek. You will rush through impressive scenery and even more impressive gradient that drops 150 feet/mile through the canyon. The trip starts off with a bang with the infamous Beavers, two steep drops that are sure to get your attention. In the canyon, the excitement is non-stop through rapids like Guide Ejector, Hell's Corner, and Corkscrew. Paddling experience recommended, good physical fitness level required. Trip availability subject to water flows.

Beginner Trip
About 2 ½ hours including shuttle (1 ½ on water)
Minimum age 5* or minimum weight of 50 pounds may apply.
Enjoy an alpine setting on this 1/3-day trip as you ride the waves in the Wild Wild West. Float past an historic waterwheel, drop over Castle Falls, and paddle though Mountain Lion, then hold on tight for Mr. Twister. For younger people and inexperienced paddlers, this section serves up 11 fun-filled rapids as the perfect introduction to whitewater! Trip Times: 8:30 AM 11:30 AM 2:30 PM check-in times

Intermediate Half Day
About 3 ½ hours including shuttle (2 ½ on water)
Hold onto that paddle and get ready to get wet! This exciting stretch of the river is AVA’s most popular trip! Continuous class III and IV rapids will thrill guests throughout the run. Surge over Nomad, power through the Phoenix Holes and take on the class IV climax, the Outer Limits. Good physical condition and the ability to swim are recommended. Minimum age of 13 may apply. |
